Mayor Dimitar Nikolov has launched construction activities for the building of a modern kindergarten in the Burgas neighbourhood of „Gorno Ezerovo“. The new building of the establishment, which is a branch of Sinchets Kindergarten, will have two stories with a basement, kitchen and gym, and in the yard there will be two playgrounds, a sports field with stands and landscaping.
Gorno Ezerovo is one of the last neighbourhoods of Burgas with an outdated children’s educational infrastructure. By the construction of the new and modern kindergarten, enough places will be opened for all children from the neighbourhood, who in turn will grow up happy and in much better conditions,” said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
Currently, the children from the Gorno Ezerovo neighbourhood are being educated in an old one-storey building, which decades ago was adapted to perform the functions of a kindergarten. It is extremely insufficient to accept all the kids in the neighbourhood. Only one kindergarten group of 21 children is educated therein, and the rest are transported to the neighbouring kindergartens in the housing estate of “Meden Rudnik”.
The new kindergarten will provide an opportunity for education of two full-day kindergarten groups /24 children each/ with the possibility to increase the capacity, if necessary. The first storey will host the rooms for one kindergarten group /living rooms, bedrooms, wardrobes and bathrooms/, the administrative part and the gym, and the second storey will host rooms for a second kindergarten group, doctor’s office with isolator, computer room, offices on fine arts and language training.
The building will have a pellet heating installation. The kindergarten will have access for disadvantaged people and a CCTV system.
The gym on the first floor will provide a quick and convenient connection to the combined sports ground in the yard. It will have an area of 200 square meters and will have doors for mini football, two basketball hoops and a net for volleyball, badminton and jitball. The flooring will be made of artificial grass for multisport.
Two more playgrounds will be built in the yard, which will have complex children’s equipment, including slides, climbing frames, pendulum swing, scale swing and sandpit. Shock-absorbing flooring will be laid under them for the safety of playing children. Seating and trees will be provided around the sports field and both playgrounds. The new kindergarten in the Gorno Ezerovo neighbourhood is part of the efforts of the Municipality of Burgas in the last ten years or more for a complete modernization and renovation of the educational infrastructure in the city, neighbourhoods and constituent settlements. Apart from it, the local administration will soon start the construction of two more brand new kindergartens – “Morsko Konche” Kindergarten in the housing estate of “Bratya Miladinovi” and “Nadezhda” Kindergarten in the housing estate of “Meden Rudnik”, and the reason is that the number of children in Burgas is increasing, and respectively these in the kindergarten groups.
